Didn’t realize the air ducts linked so directly – roommates hear shit talk

When you transport into a current house it’s consistently a game of learning to ignore things.

Your first couple of days inside the house will honestly be a bit spooky and startling. It’s difficult to get restful sleep when you’re hearing unrespected sounds and creaks all around you. Similarly, your first weekend trying to sleep in will honestly be punctuated with the sounds of your neighbor’s doing outdoor chores. More significantly, you will honestly need to get used to the tied up roadways and machinery sounds that frequent your town. As long as you’re worrying about noise pollution from outside the house, however, you should figure out how thin the walls are inside the house. Or, I recommend that you investigate your central heating and cooling system to see where the air ducts link. You see, after living in this current house for about 2 weeks with my current roommates, I had no idea that our air vents were basically directly linked to each other. I’m not sure what inappropriate things they heard through my open air vents before I realized this unlucky Heating & A/C fact. I can tell you that they got an earful through the air ducts the other day when I was bitching about their disgusting home office habits. It was a pleasant temperature outside, so my pal and I were using natural ventilation instead of operating the heating and cooling system. It was silent in the house without air quality control component running, and I was kneeling in my room when I started complaining on the PC. About twenty minutes into my rant, I heard a cough distinctly through the air vent. I stuck my head down near the air duct opening and realized that I could see straight into my roomie’s home office through their vent. I feel like an idiot for forgetting about the open air vent… however the home office has been clean ever since.
