For the past 15 years I’ve been on the road, running away from my family.
- Well, that’s at least how it feels.
It was about 15 years ago when my wifey and I had our first kid, and I took a traveling sales task to support our growing family. Since I’ve never absolutely lived full-time in the house with my family of (now) five, my pal and I often joke that I went out for a task interview and never came home… However, thanks to recent global events, I have been spending more time at house then ever before. It turns out, there were a lot of things that I have been missing. My youngsters are way bigger and smarter than I realized, my dog is harshly frustrating all day long, and our central heating and cooling system is honestly terrible. I feel I never knew how difficult it was living at house like my wifey does, until I was breathing in the same indoor air. It’s clear now that she entirely needed more help around the house. The first thing that I’m going to do when the world starts again, is to call out a professional heating, cooling, and ventilation corporation to inspect our failing air quality control equipment. It’s apparent that the heating and cooling system needed to be replaced 5 or 10 years ago, and it needs regular service appointments on a biannual basis. My terrible wifey has been living with congested air filters, disgusting air ducts, and uneven warm and chilly temperatures nearly this whole time I’ve been gone. Frankly, I spent so little time at house in between travelling that I thought I was simply spoiled by powerful Heating & A/C systems in 5-star hotel rooms when I felt our gross indoor air, then now I know, my family was being tortured with uncomfortable indoor air while I gallivanted across the country.
