For the past 15 years I’ve been on the road, running away from my family.
Well, that is at least how it feels.
It was about 15 years ago when my husbandy and I had our first kid, and I took a traveling sales task to support our growing family. Since I’ve never certainly lived full-time in the apartment with my family of (now) five, my pal and I often joke that I went out for a task interview and never came home! However, thanks to recent global events, I have been spending more time at home then ever before. It turns out, there were a lot of things that I have been missing. My kids are way greater and smarter than I realized, my dog is seriously discouraging all day long, and our central heating and cooling system is certainly terrible. I guess I never knew how hard it was living at home like my husbandy does, until I was breathing in the same indoor air. It’s clear now that he actually needed more help around the house. The first thing that I’m going to do when the world starts again, is to call out a professional heating, cooling, and ventilation company to inspect our failing air quality control equipment. It’s obvious that the heating and cooling system needed to be updated 5 or 10 years ago, and it needs respected repair appointments on a biannual basis. My exhausting husbandy has been living with obstructed air filters, disgusting air ducts, and uneven tepid and cold temperatures nearly this whole time I’ve been gone; Frankly, I spent so little time at home in between travelling that I thought I was simply spoiled by powerful Heating and Air Conditioning systems in 5-star hotel rooms when I felt our gross indoor air, then now I know, my family was being tortured with uncomfortable indoor air while I gallivanted across the country.
