This background noise is quite annoying

Isn’t it funny how a habit can outweigh our highly logical brains? I run into this all the time in my own life, plus other people’s. Sometimes, other folks don’t want to hear about the apparent mistakes that they are making, though. Recently, I accidentally sad my associate and potentially ruined our entire relationship by suggesting that she invest in a smaller kneeling fan for her room. I thought that this was a pretty inert recommendation, however a lot of people want to complain more than they want to make fluctuations. The conversation all started because my associate was complaining about trying to work from house while in this quarantine. Apparently, her town and her cabin are both honestly loud and distracting. She has trouble working unless she has a lot of background noise to drown out the unlucky sounds, and her favorite pale white noise equipment was her Heating & A/C system. She entirely enjoyed the sound of the cooling system running outside of her room because the cooling component was so loud. Every day, she set her indoor air temperature super low so the AC system was running all day and afternoon. She admitted that she opened the windows sometimes to allow warm air into the house, just to keep the thermostat convinced that more cooling power was necessary. This way, her AC hardly ever turned off, and she could concentrate for hours on end. When I asked her about her energy bill, she said it was large however necessary. She would just need to cancel our trip next year for the sake of the energy bill. That’s when I carefully asked if she would consider giving that cooling system a split and using a small table fan for background noise instead! Considering she hung up on me, I feel she’s not interested.
